Would'nt it be a good idea if you could see who was playing in a certain game from the web i.e on one of WP's web pages.

I have seen add ons for Quake & Quake 2 to automatically update pages and it would let you check games while browsing the web. If good game is in progress then you can quickly log on.

Just an idea.

Also does WP have any support for GameSpy cos that QView really is a bit pants?

And while im at it, why do I keep having to go through that stupid front end every time I want to play quake? (I know you can use DUN but im a CC subscriber).

---------Yes, you do have to use the client if you want to connect using the credit card option, cos all the details are coded into the registry+client software.

However, to avoid going through all of that stuff just to play quake2, do this:

Dial into the Credit Card Gamesworld channel, wait till the "You are signed on using the Credit Card Option" screen appears. You'll have two buttons at the bottom: Accept and Reject.

In your Start Menu, add a link to QView (or Gamespy, yes, WP does support it), and after you're dialled on, just run QView.

After you're finished with your games, just get back to the client and click on Reject, it will disconnect you almost instantly.

Easy
