View Full Version : Server Errors - The Solution - Please Read
Okay - it seems that the server error problem is still occuring and I can't see a technical way to get rid of it... There is however a way round it:
Once you've clicked on submit reply - if the 'Server Error' message appears DO NOT refresh or use your browsers back button to repost - your message has been sent... Simply go to favourites and select another page (i.e. the message board menu or something)... Then you can navigate back to the thread - your reply only appears once...

When i get a server errors msg after posting
i always just go back.. on the browser
The reply is always there and only one of them...
Maybe it works for me and not others but i would be surprised.

This works if you use the choices stored on the back button to return you to the actual thread - but most people seem to just click back to the 'Reply to Topic' screen and re-submit from there...
Okay both choosing to go right back to the thread or going to the menu from your favourites will both do the job... Cheers Digriz...

I find that this doesn't let me back in. I usually have to retype www.wireplay.com into my browser and re-enter. This usually avoids the duplicate postings. I place a copy of my posting into the Win clipboard just in case.
The real solution of course would be for the problem to be sorted!
I'm also finding navigating these boards is getting slower and slower...zzzzz

Of course it's going to get slower m8,
every time someone posts a message
there is more data to be downloaded
the next time you view the page. When
the boards were new there was very little
data to be downloaded so the pages loaded
quickly. There is nothing WP or ne1 else
can do about that. Not until ASDL or
cable modems make it to the mainstream
anyway.
Also when you get a server error just use
the back button twice and it will take you
back to the thread and your message will
be there (once).

Like I said, using the back button after a server error doesn't let me back in - period. It might work for you m8.
