Performance on cable phone lines?

Anyone have any conclusive proof that a cable phone offers a faster\ more reliable connection than a standard BT line?

Well, every connect to a k56 line i get 54,000bps which is pretty much w00pass, BT can only get like 40,000-50,000

And i get no line noise, and none of that gain crap needs to be altered

i used to get 50000bps on my bt line but now with my new phone line i only get 40000

i'm gonna call bt to get my gain increased to see if that helps

and yes, cable is obviously better

i am still considering getting home highway though
