Hello monkees, We have a 4 way LAN connected up at a friends house, one of the computers has a modem and I have managed today to set up the other three so they can also use the modem at the same time.

I then thought wouldnt it be great if we could all use wireplay at the same time, so I got some freeware software to allow me to do this.

I can now access both powerplay and openplay services from wireplay, at the same time as the main computer (the one with the modem)

However, when I go to start a game of halflife, it just keeps retrying to connect to the ip address, and gives up after 4 attempts.
typing retry in the console, just makes it retry 4 times and give up again.

I cant play halflife, please help me monkees.

Don't even think about it mate, trying to play half life with only one person sending info throught the modem is slow enough so don't even think about having 4 people on one modem, even ISDN would have great trouble supporting 2 people.

The reason it isn't connecting at all is probably because of what i've said above.

Anyway why do u want to play on wp when u can have 4 player half life with pings probably 30 ish between ya selves.

Half-Life uses the old QuakeWorld network code, which probably don't like being behind a NAT proxy/router (the software you got I guess).

Q2 should function - but no guarantees about the performance if you try this!
