I asked this one so I know the answer, basically, stickers and forms and stuff and trust m8, Your PC has to be matched up with a certain piece of paper which you have with proof or it doesnt leave the building - thats it, best thing is sit near some like minded cool people and watch each others back when your at the loo.

I'm coming by the way, me and my 800Mhz athalon pc worth over £2.5K think your worried about it walking

plus the fact that there were only 2 exits or summat last time (unless they've knocked some walls thru) and plenty of big burly games players to come to the aid of an irate victim and beat to death any thieves.

hehe.. that just about covers it guys ;)

Everyone has to wear their security badge at all times, which matches up with stickers on your monitor and PC... which are checked on leaving the event. We're also going to have security on at the event.

Just don't do what I did and not bother sticking them on, then loose them and get hassled trying to take my own PC out the front door while everyone else just walked out the back door not even checked :)

I don't think security has ever been a problem at any Multiplay LAN i've been to.
Nothing has been stolen, things lost or misplaced, but nothing stolen.
Basically your security is everyone around you.
If you sit with people you know, or even if you don't know them, you soon will, then anyone walking off with your stuff is gonna get challenged.
And like Zhard, I'm bringing over 2k worth of stuff with me (£500 monitor and also an Athlon :), and I fully trust them to be there when I leave.

hehe... power wasn't my job at i99 (/me passes the buck :)). However, we've since invested in modular power delivery systems, giving each player a socket of their own and tailored to our needs. Hopefully power problems are a thing of the past... i2 had no probs and seeing as we've invested almost as much again in power for i3 (double the demand) there should be no problems there either. That's assuming no-one goes around plugging in 2kw bar heaters or kettles into the sockets tho :).

Cheers,

Yer, the power supply thing was very impressive at I2, with those funky blue wires and everyone getting a 2 way to plug his/her 4 way into.
Cept I had a wall one near me. So I used that :)
