they should do more i events up north, like in manchester. I am sick of hearing about all you southerners having a great time at these lan parties, and most gamers who live in manchester, like me, are not prepared to travel all the distance. not all northerners are country retards, you know

Why don't you guys band together and come down en masse then? Loads of people already travel a long way to come to these events, even flying over from Europe and father afield. We have a number of high-spec IBM gaming machines for hire (£70 gets you the full 4 days of i5 with the use of the machine), so you need only bring yourself if you wish to use one of these. If you fancy this drop us a line at enquiries@multiplay.co.uk .

I live in Edinburgh so have a fair trek myself each time... but these events rock so much I don't care :)

Dont you go dissing us Country Bumpkins or ill get me sheep onto you. What are we looking at here a few hours trip on a train.

More than worth it m8.

You have to look at it from multiplays point of view. They want a reasonably central point in the areas where most of the ppl are going to be arriving from.

Like Wizzo says band together with a few m8s and all go down. Thats what I done on my first LAN. (couldn't really afford it) Got some m8s together rented a van carted us and ours PCs up. Altogether cost about £30 each each (inc petrol not including the copious amounts of beer and pizza consumed).
