Thinking of upgrading to a Athlon 650 and new mobo OR a Geforce.
My current system is:
k6-2 450mhz
64mb RAM
Voodoo 3 3000
If a Geforce which is the best?

Go for the mobo/cpu and ideally another 64mb of RAM.

yeah i'd say new cpu & mobo aswell
maybe even 128mb extra ram, it's only £80.

If you don't mind buying over net i'd go to either jungle.com or insight.com/uk (the peeps i use)

Get some extra ram(64mb or more) and a Geforce DDR, i recently went from a PII 350 with geforce DDR to a PIII 600 with Geforce DDR and the CPU made little or no difference as the GFX card does most of the work in games these days.

How much difference did the CPU make?
Oh and how much faster are the GEforce DDR than the normal GEforce?

I still reckon you'll get a bigger increase in performance if you ditch the K6-2 and get the Athlon (plus the extra RAM.... :))

Sticking a GeForce DDR in a K6-2 PC is kinda like putting a turbo on a Yugo Zastava. ;)

Will it really make that much difference opting for a Geforce over a V3.3000? I would definitly get and extra 64meg ram though.
