HardOCP (http://www.hardocp.com) have got their hands on a virtually finished Voodoo5 5500 card - all previous tests have been done on a beta card and beta drivers. They've put it head to head with the GeForce GTS in a Q3A test. Go read the article for yourselves (it's not too big), but to sum up: GeForce wins at 640x480 with minimum graphics 150fps to Voodoo5's 120fps (off the top of my head), but at higher resolutions with more eye candy there is absolutely nothing in it - the GeForce manages to beat the V5 by a huge 3fps :-)
And this is in a game where the GeForce should walk it because Q3A uses its hardware T&L setup! So I would like to see results from games that don't use T&L.....which is most of them at the moment.
And if you've got a nice juicy CPU you can turn on the V5's FSAA and get mouthwatering graphics and probably still get 60fps+ in Q3A. GeForce has FSAA too of course, but they obviously never wanted people to use it because the FPS drops down to silly levels.
It looks to me like the GeForce would be the best bet if you've got a "slower" CPU, but if you've got the power a V5 will give you the same performance BUT you get a viable FSAA option too. Not to mention the fact you don't have to worry if the game you want to play supports T&L.
Anyway, they're both fab cards, so you should be pretty well sorted depending on your CPU.

HMMMMmmm considering I may be upgrading to an Athlon 750-850 I may consider upgrading to a Voodoo 5 5500 then :)
