What advantages will games have with the
extra 32mb? will games need to be specially coded to use it?
there is quite a price difference between the 2 cards(V5 5000+5500), so is the extra 32mb worth the extra dosh? as they both have
the dual processors etc...

The voodoo 5 5000 has two chips on board so each chip will only get 16MB, so the 5500 is better as both chips get 32MB, this will help when running at the higher resolutions.

Everyone should avoid the 5000 at any cost. It's the equivalent of a 16mb card and considering the price thats outrageous. 16mb on the card will severely limit its performance. Much better off with a geforce DDR.
