Me m8 lent me a game he has been making, yes from scratch, on a written cd, but my cd rom drive does not detect it??? I thought it may be my cd rom so i upgraded and it still doesn't read it??? But when trying the written cd on 2 PCs at work both read the cd!!! Normal games and bought software cds work fine, just not the written ones??
So is there anything that is specifically set up on my machine that won't read written disks???
Please help, cos making me paranoid about my system!!!

uumm a cd-rw will defo work in a cd-rom or a dvd-rom so it aint that m8,some laser's do seem to have problems reading copies I'm afraid I dont know why,but it seems to be older cd-rom's or cd players that cant read them,so if you have just upgraded(I take it its new) I aint got a clue m8.

In reply to apoc's comment, a cd-rw will not work on all cdr's, they have to have specific software to read re-writables, sometimes windows will install this, but not always
