hi,

I got my card this morning, and it will not run on the default GPU clock speed, the RAM is fine.

I get artifacts all over the screen in the Isle of Morg demo before about 5 seconds later it hangs. everything else hangs as well.

if i reduce the clock speed to 215 from 220 it's fine. I know that the default clock speed of the 32 meg ones is 220, but Guillemot have clocked theirs higher.

I know that it's only going to make 1-2 fps difference but it is the principal.

anyone else have this?

system - KA7 Athlon 800 all power rails are fine the AGP port gets a constant 3.3, tried AGP 1x,2x,4x with and without fast writes.

ho hum.

Yup me too. Set to default my card cracks up. I sure as hell aint gonna accept it so its being returned on monday. Certainly not running it below the manufaturers specs.

I don't know why they have clocked the 64MB card higher since the 32MB can barely be overclocked, its really stupid of Guillemot to realease an unstable card :(

Gameplay accidently sent me 2 cards, one of them is going back

I put the first card in and my system crashed very shortly into a game and the the graphics were messed up during a game, also the memory modules has no heat sink
i thoughtmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i better change it for the other one they have accidently sent me

i rammed this one in and everything runs nice! now very nice, this one also has ram heat sinks,

when i try to run the demos or any 3d game with mine the screen goes black and the computer hangs.

it will run at 217 mhz fine and dandy. 218 it dies.

I seems to work ok at 217 i had time to run 3dmark2000 and got 5700 and something that was at AGP 2x, i wonder if 4x and fast writes will do anything.

I noticed on the box it says it runs a 220 - 333, so maybe they have clocked it too high by default in the bios. but over at Anandtech they got the 32 meg one at 240mhz. of course we all know O/C the core does pretty much zip. http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1246

Cripper try running the DXDIAG tests and see what happens.

log keep both cards and sell the one, as long as they dont charge you for it theres no point in sending it back...

all the tests work fine apart from the direct 3d test where i only see the hardware accelerated cube every other time i try the test

darn, i was hoping it didn't work at all. have you done a complete reinstall and stuff like that. do you get a nice clean 5v and 3.3v power rail?

put the clockspeed down to 215 and it works fine with everything(it is awesome). At 217 everything works apart from the crystal ball demo. my mobo is a via133 bit notorious for agp problems.

your honestly losing less than 1fps by clocking a GTS down to 215 from 220.
try dropping the core to 210 or 205, and the memory up to 366 or 380. that should see a real (8-10fps) performance increase.

It's a bit of a pain though, after all Guillemot clocked em at 220/366 by default. we shall see what they say tomorrow though.

I have a Abit Ka7 which also uses the KX133 chipset. i had an MVP3 previously and the AGP was ok on that and is better now.
