Ok the basics. I have tried my new o/cing skills on me old P100 and got that successfully working @ 133Mhz! Im still having trouble with me 350 PII. Mobo is made by a company called PC Chips. Has 3 PCI slots and 2 ISA slots. Quite small in size. Is a BX series. 3 DIMM banks. As you all know I cant find the s/n anywhere on the mobo and have mislayed the manual (bugger)! I found the info panel for the jumpers on the mobo and adjusted the jumpers as i saw fit upping it to 400 except it didnt make any difference! Am I right in saying that since the jumpers are arranged as
X
..
..
..
..

And X is the top of the mobo. Which pin is which? is The topmost pair A going down to D? i.e if i have 2 set it as A=on B=on C=on D=Off would it be:
_
_
_
..
as in first three have jumpers on last one hasnt?

Sorry to annoy everyone again :) but your help is very useful!

Make sure you up the front side bus and not the cpu multiplier because it wont work as the multiplier will most likely be locked on a p2 350 http://forums.gameplay.com/ubb/monkee.gif

I think that may be what im doing wrong. Is the multiplier the thing that goes up by:

1.5, 2.0, 2.5 e.t.c.?

1stly, there is a panel giving info but only says 66 & 100.im assuming that it is set on 3.5 X 100 so does this mean that i cant o/c it? Also it says its called jumper seven but i cannot find the actual jumpers :)

If you have a very old mobo, then the board might only support 66 and 100 FSB, if that is true then your overclocking adventure, with this board is over. :(

sniff sniff :( its about 1 1/2 yrs old. could it be that they only displayed 66 and 100 and other niceties like 124 are still acheivable from the manual which I so dont have?

It could be, because 112,124 are not standard spec, the makers might have only put 66 and 100 on the board. :(

So i spose in the off chance i ever find out what model it is or find the manual I may still me able to o/c it? There is still hope :)... There is! :)
