Right.
I have an Alterd (Soldered) Athlon 550, 'bin altered so that it is seen as a 750 as standard, or is recognised as a 750 in 'jumper free' mode.
I manged to get it to 807 MHz with a 107MHz Bus, however windows won't load.
Now, i reckon it's either cause my 250Watt PSU, which is fine upto know i may add, 'cos i have ATi Rage +SLI V2, can't supply enoiugh power at that speed.
Or, it's because i neeed to upp the core voltage.
I have Asus K7V + 128Meg PC133.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Its unlikely to be any of those reasons that you mention. You have to understand that since your Athlon was already oced to 750 that its already stressed and heated up. When you push the clock speed up another 57Mhz its basically telling you to forget it :D. Another reason could be the fact that as you raise your bus speed you are also raising the speed at which the PCI bus is working at and this can cause problems on all your cards or maybe just one.

The end result is likely to be that you just can't go that high, try looking at some of the ocing web sites.

Yeh embattle's right, it might be a case of core voltage, but most likely the chip cannot take anymore as its already been tested :(

Hmmn, Greedy?
Yea, I'll give upping the corevoltage a bit, if not, i'll stick with 787 or whatever it goes to without chaging.

Thanks
