I'm thinking of upgrading to a K6-2 500+ Mhz system. I've considered athlon's but they're still too expensive and I believe the prices are gonna fall significantly in the next few months. My frame rates should jump from the current 43fps to 100+ (q2 demo test). As the human eye only needs about 30fps to be fooled into seeing motion, I think I'll stick to my trusty Voodoo2. At least until game developers start fully utilizing the capabilities of the latest cards, Geforce, e.t.c.
I've checked out SCAN, they have a package for £158 that includes:
) Scan Terra-7 AT Motherboard (2 DIMM and 2 SIMM) and AGP VGA Slot.
2) 64MB of PC-100 SDRAM Memory
3) Diamond Speedstar A55 8MB - 3D VGA Card AGP
4) AMD K6-2-500MHz Processor and CoolerMaster Ball Bearing Heat Sink Fan

hehe might shop around and see if there's a better offer.

only thing is for me cant seem 2 find any info on the mobo that comes with it :(
i need to know if it has any isa slots on it as ive got a isa sb16.

Nowt wrong with 'em, seems pointless upgrading 'em atm.

Well Target most companies neglect to mention our friend, VAT, in their adverts to make it seem cheap. :p (read the small print)

So £135 plus VAT at 17.5% comes to £158
and don't forget that they will heap even more onto the above sum in the name of "Postage and Packing" :<
