Which Manufacturer

As a Stalwart Voodoo 3 user, i am considering the move to a Geforce 2, although i am confused over which manufacturer to pick? ie creative, prophet, asus?

Does it matter or are they all the same?

Roughly all the same. Go for the cheapest which I believe is the Creative one.

The Elsa gladiac is supposed to be the best.

Don't buy 3d prophet2 64mb for reasons outlined in this forum. They supply shoddy goods and change the tech specs to the lowest common denominator.

so is the Creative card any good?

I am gettin a geforce gts card soon, either the Creative or Prophet card in 32mb (finally decide to get rid of this G400), but id like the faster card of the 2. I would have gone for the Elsa Gladiac.......but its toooooo expensive.

I have an Athlon 550, 128mb Ram, 19" monitor and run in 1024x768.

I have just brought a Creative Geforce2gts.
It was easy to install,seems to work fine not one lock up or anything and you get a good batch of software with it ie colour management,3deep and a Tweak centre if you really want to fiddle,hope this helps.

Be warned though, not all of creative's cards will overclock that high, but for the price it seems to be the best Geforce 2 GTS.
