o.k. well according to the box you get 8+ players via lan or internet. The manual states that you can choose from 2 to 24 clients. the only thing is that you need to provide the other players your i.p. address, but i`m sure this is possible via wireplay (but i aint no expert).... Now ive played it against my cousin...what a race, some jerkyness but no worse than c.m. rally what tourney and ladder opportunities!!
cant stress more.... what a top game... very difficult at first but dont be put off once you get the hang of it.......you know the rest.

No luck m8. We don't run games where you have to manually tell everyones i.p. addresses and there is no other way to run the game. Sorry.
Thats not always the case though. Colin McRae rally gets you to type in the IP address of the other player when you choose the internet option, but this still works fine over Wireplay.
Possibly you could investigate further before dismissing it?
It probably does work that way using wireplay direct however we have chosen not to support games in this way. I'll try to find out why. it's probably because this launcher looks a bit crap and you don't need the client to run the game using i.p. addresses anyway. Sorry.
/me is confused -
Colin McRae Rally and TOCA2 work in this way don't they?
In C Mcrae and TOCA 2 you are supposed to pick wireplay from the multiplayer options within the game this will launch the game without you having to enter an i.p. address.
In GP500 there is not as far as I know an option of wireplay within the game.

surely wireplay technology can support this ...... maybe the wireplay 3 development team should be forwarned so as they may try to incorporate this kinda mullarky!

Thats true CMRALLY makes you choose the wireplay option. Though this option is not present unless you have the Wireplay software installed.
I don't know what magic you used to make it appear.
Double post - sorry http://forums.gameplay.com/ubb/teeth.gif
