MUD2 support in wp3

Hmm, got a question that arose while I was talking to a couple of mud2 players last night, (One of which is a mud2 wiz).

Currently, there persona on mud are linked to the WP username. Are those players going to lose all there existing characters on MUD2 now that they are going to have to register new usernames?

That reminds me, are you going to transfer peoples old WP2 names to WP3? Because if not there could be difficulties if someone registers your old id before you have a chance to?
