FYI:
The final release of WP3 (but not before..) will have the registration pages connected to WP2 so that all the *current* (ie: active) WP2 nicknames can be re-used by their respective owners on WP3 (as their Persona).
This will work as follows:
1) Registration pages will prompt for a *new* WP3 account. This is *not* a WP2 thing..
2) ..the Persona entry page will then contain an extra field for a WP2 password, which will be required *if* the Persona is in use on WP2.
3) Assuming the persona/password are valid on WP2, they will be assigned to the WP3 account, and cannot be used by anyone else.
MUD II
------
There is currently an issue with MUD II, because it depends on existing player ID numbers in the WP2 database. Since WP3 uses a separate DB, these numbers are not available immediately, so your existing MUD II accounts cannot be accessed until we can think of a decent way around this (ie: no nasty hacks http://www.gameplayerz.com/ubb/wink.gif )
