In the chat window it says

Connecting...
Loggin on as MPH... (my persona)

It then does nothing.

Shame as it was working fine earlier this morning

There are some problems with us using the IRC protocol and the navigational model in the client - if you try and leave and join a room too often I think the IRC server automatically bans you (for a bit).

Need to talk to some IRC gurus and resolve this.

I've found out what is causing this problem. It happens when someone else on the IRC network the wireplay server is connected to (is it Finnish or something, as the person using my name was in Finland) is using my user name i.e. MPH.

Maybe you need to isolate the IRC server you are using to stop those outside wireplay using the personas.
