WP3 is very impressive piece of software, most issues I've had with it have been raised by other ppl, However.

Common problem this, but, WP3 doesnt help..

Last weekend, and this weekend, BTFree has been using different IP numbers (ones that WP dont recongize!). So when you go to Wireview (WP2) none of the servers are availible they are all listed as broken servers.

WP3, however, lists all the servers are availible (broken and nonbroken). Only after you've tried to join the availble server, do you find you actually cannot connect to the server.

WP3 needs to check to see if the server you are trying to join is availble and prevent you from joinin' if it isnt. Maybe at the same time (as an added bonus) check to see if the server is full, and if it is, stop you from joining?

Other than that, it's a peachy piece of software.

This is only a problem at the present whilst we run WP3 and WP2 in parallel.

When Wireplay 3 is released there will be some changes to the way openplay/powerplay work and access for other ISPs.

Look for announcements later in the month.

yeh would be great if you couldnt connect
to a full server its a real pain when you join a full one by mistake or perhaps when you click on join it refresh's server and then say you cant join before loads program
because some games can take a while to load

We thought about restricting people joining a server if it's full but there are some problems with this.

Firstly, it a 'race-hazard' (engineering term), i.e. you and 10 other people could all be looking at a server and seeing one slot free and all try and join at the same time.

Secondly, many games now support 'spectator modes' so you may want to join even if you know it's full and watch a friend or wait until someone drops out.
