I am aware that Wireplay is currently only available to users of Windows 95/98, but why isn't there a Mac version of Wireplay?
I have played some great games with great graphics on my iMac DV and I was really looking foward to playing people on WP.

If there aren't currently any plans to do make a Mac version....I think it's time you started to think about it.

Anyway: since there isn't a Mac version : would it be possible to run WP on my Mac if I was using a Windows emulator such as Virtual PC??

please help

WP 3 is free, so why don't u just try it out with your emulator ?

Also, why have a mac (u bought an imac , why ?) version off WP when there is a possibility that PC an mac versions of the same game might not be able to communicate ?

i.e. can u play mac quake against pc quake ?

i don't know, but peer to peer game would probably have problems

lets know what happen when u use the emulator

your the first person who has replied usefully to my question...thankyou

I bought an iMac to do Digital Video Editing, because it's best for that

I'm sure that once get the emulator peer to peer gamin g won't be a problem because it would be like actually running windows.

thanx for ur help

OK don't laugh

On my iMac DV I currently only have two games
1.Bugdom www.bugdom.com (http://www.bugdom.com)

2. Nanosaur (which is pants apart from good graphics)

The game I want to play on Wireplay "Rumble in the Void" is only availalble to Windows users ( so I'll have to get Virtual PC)

dont foeget as well as the quake running on the imac so do microsoft games since they became involved with apple. so there fore i know that age of empire def will work on an imac ( or at least can get an imac version) not sure about age of kings.
this means using your emulator you should be able to play them on wp. but try playing them without the emulator first as im sure since they are from microsoft they would have made the peer to peer compatiable and as such should be able to play on wp.

If the games were made by Microsoft then we would really be in the S£!+, you'd probably be lucky to get them to run under windows :)
Fortunately most games sold under the Microsoft label are actually written by people who know what they are doing.

There aren't any problems playing peer to peer Quake from a Mac to a PC. Been there, done that. The toughest problem was getting the PC to recognize that it was connected to anything at all, but rebooting took care of that problem. So much for pure plug and play....

Well I have connected to Quake to wp servers via a mac and using the mac as a server and connecting to it via a pc before, I didn't experience any problems http://forums.gameplay.com/ubb/teeth.gif

Alot of game servers run in Linux, doesn't stop the windows peeps joining does it ;)

Normally games offering multi-platforms shouldn't have any problems joining to each other.
