WP3 problem

I've just dowloaded the beta but I can't seem to get it to work.
I click on the desktop icon, the taskbar icon appears but when I click on 'Connect/Available' after a short while 30 seconds or so it comes back with the message:
Error loading the initial page

Any ideas?

Did you have a connection before starting up wireplay, it should work either way but it's probably best to try with a connection already.

How are you connecting? (modem)
and which isp, have you tried Wireplay Direct?

I've tried with a connection active already, and without. I've tried with WP Direct and my other ISP (GTOnline), the WP connection is 56k and the GTOnline is 128k ISDN. I've tried with a single 64k channel also, shut down everything else that uses the internet, ICQ, Zonealarm etc, but nothing seems to work.

just double click ok where it says error and double click again it generaly reconects on the second attempt if it has not done straight away. more people have this problem who have wp.2.3 installed so try using clear cache if you have used wp2.3.

Sorry forgot to mention that I'm using Win2k, so since I installed Win2k (bout 2 weeks) I havent been able to use wireplay, which is why I am eager to get this sorted so I can use it again. Might be something I'm doing but I cant see what and there doesnt seem to be many things that can be done wrong.
I've tried double clicking the tray icon, with both a connection active and not. With no connection it asks if I want to dial my default isp or WP Direct, I've tried both. Apart from reinstalling it I cant think of anything else I can do, going to give it a go and see what happens.

There's a new beta version out now, give that a try. Try removing the old version and the Wireplay Direct DUN first though.

Nope still doesnt want to work, I get the same message "Failed to load initial page".

ahh well may have to wait for the full version then

any ideas how long till the full vers?
