I recently bought a spanking new modem pace 56k internal, but after I had put it in its isa slot, and win98 had auto installed it, when I try to get on to wireplay or run its diagnostics it says modem is not responding, or could have wrong irq. It sets itself up on com3 which it creates supposedly .but isn't in the list of ports in device manager, it has irq 5. Any one clever enough to know what to do? Could be duff modem of course(came from mail order) thanks, ned

I have the above modem. You should install the drivers etc that comes from pace not windows, then select pace 56 voice internal from your configure setting in the dial up networking for wp not pace 56 voice internal plug and play.Once online go to Pace`s home page as they have recently updated their drivers.

Luke,

Someone has already posted their setup for the Pace internal. Here it is :-

homepages.nildram.co.uk/~bca/paceconf.htm (http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~bca/paceconf.htm)

There is also a thread lower down from Tiger all about them.

Cheers
