THANKS 4 THE SETTINGS BUT WHEN I DOWNLOADED THE V.90 FILE BUT THEN WHEN ITS INITIALISING THE INSTALLATION IT SHOWS UP AN ERROR MESSAGE
'THE SELECTED HARDWARE WAS NOT DETECTED IN THE SYSTEM. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU UDE THE CORRECT THE CORRECT INTILISATION' PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
PS. I DO HAVE THE LATEST DRIVER
Meanboy,
Depending on when you bought your modem, there is a good chance that you already have the latest firmware loaded in it.
Try using Hyperterminal (as described on my Techweb page) and issuing the ATI103 command. That will tell you the firmware version you have, then you can decide if you actually need to upgrade it.

ALL, I repeat ALL
Supra Express PRO, whether internal or external are V.90 and 56K ready, from the box, no need to download any other stuff.
SO
Ure Supra Express 56e PRO is V.90 REady u have the latest firmware at the current time.
But dont cnnfues the Supra Express 56i/e with the 56i/e pro, they are Very Different.
BTW, Sflatt, THanks for the modem settings M*, they helped me quite a bit http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif

if i already have v.90 loaded then im still only getting a 42,000 connection with WP
and a 45,000 with in2home. i have the same settings as sflatt
Meanboy,
Your connect speed is much more likely to be down to your (homes) location in relationship to your telephone exchange and/or the quality of your phone line.
I only live about 1 mile from my exchange, so i get good connect speeds. I suspect you live slightly further away so you get a little slower.
There's very little you can do to increase connect speeds. Your modem has the latest firmware and you've done everything else you can.
Don't worry though - it's actually not that good to go above 44000-46000 as you start losing packets then anyway. A slower reliable ping is better than a fast one with packet loss.
Try tweaking your particular game settings to squeeze out the best ping you can get.

Cheers again Sflatt, my pings around 160- but not as laggy and i can kill with the RG. http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif
Whcih is nice http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/shades.gif
BTW I get a 50,667 connect speed, i reckon i must live pretty near the exchange to get that.
But if ya have cable and V.90 you shoud get about 54k/55k
Also the cablre modems are showing to be superb

Ok, I have a 56i V Pro
I assume this means something to you,
does all the settings advice above apply to mine?
And also, I have an extension lead between my computer and the phone socket, would this affect my connection, and if so is it possible to buy a cable that would improve the connection (I know having the phone socket moved would be one solution, but it's too expensive)??
thanks
