n1 scarab.. same thing I recommend as well http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif
The best? Well... I dunno about that.
I prefer this (http://www.htmlgoodies.com/).
They look a bit alike, but HTML goodies has a lot more stuff. I like it. http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif
And their 'Master list' is really good for reference. http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/biggrin.gif

Well as someone in a position to comment (I've just today started learning HTML) I'd agree with Scarab/Cov. I tried the other one, but found that it went too slowly and covered too much ground that I knew already, and was a bit too "do this and then do this".
If I had followed Dr. Burns advice, I would at this point in time still be looking at saving a file with a .html extension. (well, OK, I'd have got bored and gone on to something else, and probably missed out stuff along the way).
The WebTutor one was far more integrated, assumed its readers had a degree of intelligence but was still extremely clear and used really good examples of how HTML should be written. Using that one, between 1pm and now I have learnt to design a HTML document with frames, images et al.
However, Grace's suggestion did have a lot of stuff that I'll probably find useful when I'm a bit more advanced (probably next week sometime http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/wink.gif) such as VBScript and all that.
I think the two are aimed at rather different audiences, to be honest. One is aimed at people who need that step-by-step instruction, the other is aimed at people who are comfortable with the whole concept of writing a web-page and just want to know how to do it with as little preamble as possible.
Erm. There was a point...Where's me coat gone?
Ele
hehehee.. here!! **throws Ele's coat at him... but he ducks http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/cry.gif**

Just kidding, m8. http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/wink.gif Yeah, HTML goodies is a little child-like. Dr. Burns holds your hand and makes jokes throughout the scary thing that is making a webbie. http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif I knew all the basics when I got there... and I don't really use the tutorials per se... I just get the stuff I need from the master list if I've a problem. But mostly when I want something for my webbie, I look for it on another site, use their code and make it fit mine. http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif
But gawd, if you knew some of the people I do who don't know HTML or how to make a webbie, you'd understand why I chose that one. http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/wink.gif It's perfect for people starting from scratch and don't know HTML at all. http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif
Oh... but the time it takes to load every page is awful, but still. http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/frown.gif
