Winmodem

I have a LT winmodem. 56k v90

I always connect at 48k, and sometimes it really flies...However...sometimes it "hangs" for 10 sec, then once it kicks in again it is very speedy....

Any of you techy bods any idea's on why....

It might be retraining (i.e. renegotiating the connection) ? If you've got any documentation with it, you might be able to tell it not to do this. It could also be a lot of other things...........
