View Full Version : Destroy Pace
I have a pace 56 Internal which i flashed to v90. When i reconnected it was actualy slower then before when i was using the k56 flex. I am connecting through BT Internet and when i started my Flash Program back up again to degrade my modem back to a flex, it told me that it had not made a connection with a v90 capible server. Becasue of this i think we should all destroy everything made by pace. Also we could have the board of directors Killed, i have found a nice site to do this @:

Greap,
Don't be too hasty mate - i've noticed that WP access via BTI has been very poor recently (unplayable at the weekend). WP direct has been fine.
Also - i recently used the Pace upgrade program on an external (originally K56flex only). The program worked fine and allowed good solid V.90 access to BTI and WP. However, the installation also told me that BTI was'nt a V.90 connection. Ignore it - it's wrong.

I have had the same trouble, with BTI or WP direct i usually get connect speeds of around 33K afetr I flashed it to v90.
Seriously considering getting a 3com internal as last unit (before thunderstorms blew it up ) connected at 46666 nearly every time, and when it didnt it was 45K
Oh FFS !!
there is absolutely nothing wrong with pace modems flashed to v.90 on BTI of WP !!
Download the latest modem drivers (not v.90 firmaware) from the pace website (english one) upgrade the drivers for you modem, remove the modem from my computer->properties, restart the computer to make sure it loads the latest drivers, then try it. If you still have problems with the connection speed, then get BT to up the gain on your line or tell you whether you've got a DACS line, if it's the latter, you'll have to try and get them to upgrade it to a full line cos DACS is supposed t be a temporary measure only.
for a pace config that gives me a stable ping around 120 at a connect speed of 49,333 look here :

I've posted this several times on thismessage board, one even entitled pace 56k voice internal config FFs.
try it and see folks
