In your Dialup Networking box, select your Wireplay Direct icon, right click and select properties. Click the SERVER TYPES tab.
Try checking (or unchecking) the ENABLE SOFTWARE COMPRESSION box. I had it disabled and got an average Halflife ping of 220, when I turned it on I got a better ping of 150. I
also have a beast of a PC (p3 450 voodoo3) so people with lowerspec machines may not notice as much difference but I urge u to muck about with it, it could change your (Wireplay) life. Happy poking and hoping http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif
If any1 has tried this, could u post a reply because I would be interested to see the effect it had on your machines. cheers.
