I have an old 56K modem installed on my old P120 and find it frustrating that it's just sitting there doing nothing. I thought it may be worth trying installing that on my current comp to see if it gives me any better of a connection. (Like another string it's and unbranded Rockwell, although I do have a V.90 one now installed that doesn't give 'the best' results)

anyway, just a thought

if you want the latest drivers for it go to www.56k.com (http://www.56k.com) loads of good info on modems etc...will also tell you how to find out who produced the modem.
