Buttons

Hi ppl
Basically im doing my first ever website.
Ive got nearly everything finished.
I need to no how to link my pages using my own designed button,I am only using front page express i can make links but only with text.Can anyone tell me how i can use my own buttons instead of the text feature thats in front page.
Any info very much appreciated,BTW keep it simple all this web stuff is new to me.
