WIREPLAY CLAN SITE HELP

Where can i lodge a complaint about wireplay clansites? Or how do i solve this problem;

First u can't use cgi i'm told, but fine thats okay i'm over that minor quibble now
But now i learn u wireplay don't allow u to upload zip files within the zip file for the site. How the hell am i supposed to maintain a download section then? I'm really miffed, but i don't want to switch to a new url bcause i've already spent so much time advertising the link to so many search engines and what not already.

I am fairly sure they may be addressing this issue m8, but having only been back in blighty for 2 days I aint sure. There is however another option. Use a free web site provider somewhere, or if you have other web space use that, put your downloads there then link to them from the WP address. This way you get the WP address and you can still do your downloads. Any pages that you wanna regularly update, put them on the other webby so you get easy access to them. Not an ideal solution but it works. I did sommat similar with my rumble webby, and using frames, no visitors can tell where the hell they are http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/teeth.gif

How? i mean what address? i thought they said they did'nt give any help or support on wireplay clan websites, which is a bit lame really. ahhh here it is and i quote;

Which is why i've taken it up here, on the hope some1 can do something about this.

You really should have thought about this before you went off promoting the unstaged site. Most important rule of web design: GOOD PLANNING!

Oh and for what its worth, I totally agree with you. I helped beta test the origianl WP club/clan space setup, and I did say I thought the uploading tool and limitations imposed were pants. Christ, initially it wouldn't even let me upload a wav http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/frown.gif
The origianl reasons given to me were that its cos its not a normal chunk of web space, its actually the BT proper servers so they couldnt allow that sort of access. Like I said I will ask and see what info I can get OK?
