anyone got good reliable ways of promoting a website? (apart from submitting it to the seatch engines - done that) does anything work especially well from your own experience?

going out there and telling people about it
posting on a message board related to the site
paying for a banner

go check out www.mycomputer.com (http://http:www.mycomputer.com), they have all the resources you may need for you website from counters to banner exchange programs.

This is when you create a banner 468x60 pixels in size and upload to mycomputer.com's server. Then post a bit of code on on of yer pages and then they will display your banner on other peoples pages and other peoples banners on your pages. Hope you got that :)
