i am using dreamweaver 3 to learn how to design a webpage. i ve designed 1 ok but...... i can't put in my webspace, i got webspace with freeserve. 'could not connect to host' comes up. i've tried regesting with freeserve again and i've tried uploading it to lineone but these haven't helped. the following are the settings i am using

sever access- ftp
ftp host- uploads.webspace.freeserve.net
host directory-http://www.reeves29.freeserve.co.uk/index/html (my free webspace)
login- reeves29@freeserve.co.uk
password- ************

please can someone help

Try playing around with the host address

index.html should be the name of your home page file, not the directory.

Try without HTTP:// or by replacing www. with ftp.

sorry, i have got reeves29.freeserve.co.uk on my sever info, it was a mistake when i the post up, doh!

cheers m8, i got a bit further by removing /index.html from the host directory and i've called my page index. but now the following comes up

An FTP error occurred- cannot open remote folder. http://www.reeves29.freeserve.co.uk/.
530 can't change directory to /http://www.reeves29.freeserve.co.uk: no such file or directory.

btw, i check my ftp details and i haven't put / in front of the http://, like is says i have on the error
