i have a us robotics x 2 winmodem voice

Special reserve are offering a siamond Supraexpress 56i Pro internal 56k v.90 voice/fax/modem for 37.99
does anyone know whether it is software upgradeable?/ good?/worth it?
I would like a decent ping because mine looks like a third world debt!
Since asdl is not going to be around for a while that is not an option

In short - YES, it's a good 'un (the internal Diamond that is).

And.....it's discussed on my webby, under recommended modems.

P.S If you do buy it, check the modem drivers on my webby, as they were updated on 19th July and may not be the ones you get on the install CD.

Just been to your site, lots of good info.

Your right about the USB modems being software driven, and crap for online gaming.

Just wish i'd gone to your site before wasting 35 quid on one the other day.....

oh well, look like diamond it is then.
