View Full Version : Need some questions answered
I have been creating a website using html, and am quite pleased with it so far. I have a few questions however, and you would have my undying gratitude if you could answer them :)
1. I know how to create an online sign up form which is sent through e-mail, but how can I do one which doesn't need to be sent through e-mail?
2. How can I make it so when you hold over the mouse pointer on an image, it changes color, like a 'shadow'.
3. How can I create a newspage which allows people to submit news?
Thanks in advance

Hi
1. You need a CGI script to do send it other than email. Go to http://www.cgi-resources.com/ and do look for a script that will do the job for you.
2. Yeah the thing you want is refered to as a rollover. What package are you using to make your pages cause some have this function incorporated into them ie Dreamweaver 3 :)
3. Yep spot on. News Pro is the best news script around. :)

Thanks for the advice people, after a while of wrestling with notepad, I managed to create the rollover affect for my site :)
I am setting up the other two at the moment
Thanks again
I have another question to ask...
I have laid my page out in a table format, however this has caused the problem of the text being halfway down the page. I have no idea how to solve this.
To see what I mean have a look at my website (very little content yet) http://afs.clanpages.com
