Hi mate,

Probably your modem retraining (renegotiating) the line speed constantly as it can't support the initial connection rate. Eventually it gives up and disconnects.

You did'nt say what speed you connect at and or which ISP (or WP Direct ?) you connect through.

I would try and limit your connection speed (bring it down slowly until it seems to improve). Most of the more common init strings are on my webby - if they don't help at all post back here and i'll see what i can dig out.

cheers

Your PC reporting 115200 (the COM port speed) might also be a clue that perhaps you're not using the best driver for the modem ? A 100% driver should report the correct
(DCE) connection speed.

Also - if you enable modem logging (details on my webby) and look at it after a call, it will show your (real) connection speed without faffing about trying to get Windows to report the correct speed.

Hope this helps - anything specific post back here.

Cheers
