1. i got this pretty park virus.
2. ended up reinstalling windows and drivers etc.
3. modem keeps stalling after about 20 mins
4. icq says cannot allocate a tcp for listening for transfer of files/events (when i tried receiving a file)
5. when trying to access powerplay server lists it says unable to open power play wireview,, dll missing snmpapi.dll
nightmare.. help

Dave,
Oh ! you might have more problems than i can help with (you might also want to try the tech forum maybe ?) but if you can enable modem logging then post the results of a (disconnected) call here, i might be able to get more clues what's going.
BTW - I could do with knowing your modem make+model and how you connect.

show me how to log and i will.... ps it seems to disconnect itself after a while.....
can't bloody get into air attack now,, before i couldn't get into the server lists, then i got the needed dll, snmpapi
but now when i go to fly now it says unable to start, make sure patch correct etc.. bloody virus is doin me ed in...
also in icq i cannot receive files, says cannot find a listening tcp port for transfer or somethin..
modem is v.90 k56flex hsp pci

Ive had the same problem....it was caused for me by updating my modem drivers, and then regscan (a win98 startup program designed to automatically back up your registry if it finds anything wrong) wasnt updated with the new registry info, so it replaced my registry with the win98 backup....only solution is to reinstall every program on your pc....safest option is a reformat tho...
