Hi,
Try configuring your WP DUN like as my webby shows the report back here if things haven't improved.

OK - don't worry about the COM port speed too much, but follow the rest of the setup and see if it helps.

You need to ditch the modem m8 i had one and was getting 400+ pings on wireplay. Get a hardware modem im using a rockwell hcf v90 chipset modem and my ping is now 170 theyre getting cheaper now too so youve no excuse.
my motorola is now keeping the dust off my old sb16

to frag or not to frag
what was the question?
Hi,
Do you know the exact make and model of the modem ?? Oh - and what connection speed do you get and how do you connect (via WP Direct or another ISP).
Also, it has to be said that Winmodems really are not suitable for gaming. Even if we solve the disconnections it will never give you great performance. A proper hardware modem would give you 140-160 ping in TFC for example. If you want some suggestions for a new modem then i've listed some on my webby.
However, let me know the make+model and we'll see if there is anything much we can with the existing one.
Cheers
