its me again, after formatting my pc afetr a large bug i had it finally got rounfd to playing counter strike again and i was not best pleased my ping was 800+, so the 1st thing i done was checked how fast i connected at i was ashamed it was only 44,000bps which is crap beacuse b4 my pc was formated my ping was 190, so i figured the only thing to do was to try and get my speed back up to 49,333bps but i cant and its annoying ne ideas how to get my modem up to this speed. As b4 i still have a rockwell 56k date fax voice speaker phone modem. it has a rockwell chipset and pci interface and both k56flex and v90 so ne ideas brainy?

Hi,

Are you absolutely sure you are using the same drivers that you were before your reformat ?

Can you enable modem logging (details on my webby) and post the results of a call here please.

Cheers

OK - go online and do whatever you do. When you have finished and disconnected, go back to where you enabled logging and you will see an option to view the log. Bingo ! Hey Presto !
Jusslikethat !

Hi,

Using Windows 95, this log file is usually called "C:\Windows\modemlog.txt".
Using Windows 98, this log file is usually called "C:\Windows\mymodemname.log"

If all else fails then make a connection then look for a ".txt" file that has just been written to.

Hi mate,

Don't worry - just post an example here (try and get at least 1 whole call in it) and we'll take a look.
