Every so often, without reason i get disconnected, and it's realy starting to annoy me. This has only started happening in the last few days.
My modem is a TiMedia V90.

Right it'd just happened again, i've tried changing the port settings, but to no avail.
Hi,
I wold suspect that this is because your modem can no longer support the initial connection speed that was negotiated. Therefore it will renegotiate the line speed (and my eventually give up and disconnect you).
Otherwise it may be because you have a software modem (using your CPU) and your CPU max's out (processing gameing data maybe). Then it loses the connection.
For both of these problems i would suggest limiting your connection speed. There are quite a few "init strings" on my webby that allow you to do this. Try them and see if things improve.
Otherwise, you might get a more stable connection by upgrading the modems firmware.
Firmware and drivers for your modem (if you know the model) are available here (http://www.timedia.com.tw/service/Mservice.htm). !! Please make sure you get the correct version for the UK !!
If not, then what connection speed do you get when you connect to the internet, what are your system specs and is the modem internal or external.
Cheers
