Help me please (Slime/anyone)

Just bought a Diamond express 56k internal modem. It says I've installed it properly but when I connect it is so slow I can barely access the web. I've changed all the settings to suit and deleted and uninstalled my old modem (Rockwell). I really am stuck. I did tweak my old Rockwell modem but it was so long ago I don't know what settings I changed or anything. Please help.

Hi,

Configure it as my webby shows (URL in my signature). If that doesn't cure it then p[ost back here with as much detail as you can (modem version, drivers used, connection speed, ISP used etc etc etc).

Slime m8: Belly has bought and set-up his modem as per your web-site, but still no luck. He's gonna check his connection speed tonight and report back.
His ISP (apart from WP) is Freeserve, but neither are running better than the other.

I would uninstall the modem via Add/remove Software.

Remove DUN via Add/remove>Windows Setup

Put DUN back on.

Reinstall the modem.

Reboot betwwen each of the stages and try it out again.
