Flashing my modem

Recently I popped to the brillant website (www.lagless.com), to find the lastest drivers for my modem (Diamond Supra Express 56e Pro - 3 months old).

When I started to update my drivers, it asked the question "Do you want to flash your modem". When that message came up I clicked the cancel button because Ive heard people saying that flashing their modem, turned it into a slow beast. Any ideas what to do, whether to flash it or not !!!!

Hi,

It depends which firmware you have installed already. The last update was Jan 1999, so hopefully Diamond have been providing that update on the CD with more recently bought modems.

Check my webby (How to check your Firmware) and if it says the same as my screenshot then you already have the latest version, so no point in doing it again.
