SLIME M8 got a new modem but...................

lo again m8, right bought a brand new TRUST COMMUNICATOR 56K ESP-2 external modem.its got the rockwell acf-2 chipset and its K56flex and V90,V80,Vblah blah compatible.
so i set all the settings ah la DUN guide ,wireplay internet connects at 48000 nice.BUT wireplay direct only connects at 28800!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so i went to trust homepage to the faq's sect.it said that u need the following init to connect at 56000:-
AT+MS=56,1,300,56000,1,1
okay used this and the bloody thing wouldny even connect,kept saying "you have been disconnected from the computer u tried dialing,please hang up and retry" well somminclose to that,so now i got no init strings, WP Direct + WP internet configured as u recommended in ya DUN guide and get the following:-
WP DIRECT=28800
WP INTERNET=48800
WTF IS GOING ON!¬!!!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?
am i missing sommin????????
please help m8 i'm going out of my mind!!!!!!

What happens when you connect to any other ISP ? What connection speed do you get ?

lo m8,before we start plz read my reply in genreal WP stuff forum,
so bought it from littlewoods catalogue cause cant afford to fork out 1 big lump sum.
am currenly connected to BTclick ISP at 49333!!
WP internet still 48000
WP direct gone up to 31200 but no higher
its a 2meg external
it also says that the K56flex and V90 are automatically detected.
ATl3 = V2.080-V90_2M_DLS
ATl6 = RCV56DPF-PLL L8571A REV29.00/29.00
like i said its a rockwell ACF 2 chipset
so m8 why the high connection on WP internet anb BTclick and LOW speed on WP direct
any help m8 would be very very gratefull
oh should i try playing UT and unreal on WP internet or BTclick????????
