I have a 56k v90 ISA internal modem. BABT say it is genesis technology (607480) but software on CD is Modular technology.
Using Modular Tech drivers and updates I have flashed up to v90 2.1

PC is AMDK6-2 400 with 96MB and 32MB AGP savage 4

When playing games, eg quake 3, I get pings of circa 200, not great but I cope.

Problem is I get a connection interrupted message every now and again which really screws up my game. It can freeze for minutes at a time.

I've also noticed this problem when simply browsing, modem just stops transmitting/recieving for a minute or so.

Followed all your instructions from lagless.com but still no luck!

Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a noisy line to me. May be worth checking with you Telco and have them check the line. You on an extension cable?

Nope, modem is connected direct to phone socket.

I have recently moved house and used to suffer the problem at old address.

could it be my ISP? (BT Internet)

I'm trying to figure if it's worth getting a new modem.
