Please can someone out there help me.

I have a Diamond SupraExpress 56i V Pro modem thats about 2 years old. I was getting a really good connection on Wireplay Direct ,48000, and getting CounterStrike pings of 160, this was with everything tweaked etc (software compression, init string, error control off etc) I had latest drivers as well. I'm using 9x56ip56.exe it installs no problems but I wondering if the yare the correct ones! I'm a bit confused about all the different SupraExpress models out there e.g. V CC etc.

But then disaster struck I reinstalled Win98 SE and now I cannot connect to Wireplay Direct. I can connect to all the other ISP's I have (including Wireplay Internet)and it works fine although I generally only connect at 42K.

Sometimes I get and dud dialing tone and sometimes I after it checks for username and password it just hangs and then i get a RAS720 error message.

I've tried to uninstalled Dialup networking, wireplay, etc and reinstall, but still the same. After I install Wireplay and it connects for the first time it seems to work and then it starts the update but then it hung when trying to download all the files it needed to update.

If anyone can help I'd be most greatful as I'm playing on WP with a crap

Hi,

Check out the section on my webby about how to check your firmware. Then post it back here and i'll see if you have the right drivers/firmware.

Cheers
