Software problem

There is something wrong with my Wireplay software, here goes –

When I try and connect it comes up with the following error

I’ve tried doing the following to rectify the problem but have had no luck.

1. Uninstalling Wireplay and reinstall
2. Download MSVCRT.DLL from winfiles.com
3. Installing Wireplay on a different drive
4. Installing an older version of Wireplay – Same error happens

I’m using the latest V2.30 and have been using Wireplay successfully for over 2 years.

Can anyone help me get my WP Software working again?

I'm getting exactly the same error. I play MUDII mostly so I don't think QView will be much help.

Why doesn't the WP client work, anyway?

It appears we have introduced a bug with 2.30 which is not cured by re-installing 2.2x.

It only affects certain systems, and we are trying to track down the commonality between affected systems.

If you would like to help, please obtain the file versions of the following files in your Windows\System folder and mail them to us at this address <bugs@wireplay.bt.co.uk> with the subject 'WPTOOL crash info'

"Switch to VGA mode and you can connect."

Got the same bug chaps.
Tried all i can think of short of a reformat.
Looks like bye bye WP (for the forseeable anyway)
I know i can use gamespy for Half life, but does anyone know how to get online with Total A?

I am having same prob as above.

I am using gamespy to get on wp servers but I can only connect to internet @ 33600 compared to the old 44000 on wireplay.
(somethin to do with v90 flashy thing).

Can I connect to power play from dial up networking? If so whats the #.
