Subject: Arena Problems

Dear Wireplay,

56k Flex Modem (upgraded to V.90)
Pentium 233 - 64mg

I can't seem to connect to an arena.

I connect using wireplay direct and it logs me in (ID Salion) and
I can get to the choose your arena screen but as soon as I click
the arena, it lights up momentarily to show my choice and the icons
go grey (apart from the arena ones themsleves) but then nothing happens.

No modem activity, no screen change at all.

I wonder if you could suggest something?

Salion

AA = Air Attack

...but I think that whoever answered your email has misunderstood. Air Attack has different arenas which you can join, and I think that this is what led to their misunderstanding. I realise that you're talking about the arena selection buttons in the Wireplay client software itself.

I'm assuming that you are trying to connect via the Wireplay Direct dial-up (the default connection) -- try selecting your default ISP's dial up connection as your connection for Wireplay, and see if this cures the problem. Also, when you fire up the Wireplay client, does your browser launch as it's supposed to? If it does, can you use it to browse the Web? If you can get around from one page to another, and the modem lights indicate activity, then that rules out the connection being at fault, and narrows the cause down to the client software itself. There have been reports of this problem from other customers, and the BT engineers have been notified about it, and are currently looking into it.

Okay!!!!

I dont have AA installed. I can connect to wireplay with my default but the same problem happens.

What does not happen when I load wireplay direct is that I can not browse the net but the browser does auto launch. \Any further ideas?

(I am loathe to E-mail wireplay support again as they must get bogged down with stuff like this)
