Sunday??

I logged on Sunday night (around 9pm) but couldn't see any game servers in Powerplay except those that apparently were set up by players.

Openplay was fine.

This was a bit of a shame as I couldn't play anything at all. Anyone know why this was?

Yep - I called the Help Desk.

They said there was a problem with the Noticeboard timing out before getting all the servers, and it was being looked into.

It was fixed later on (well... by midnight anyway)

Aah, so thats how this board works!!! Its for people to report their phonecalls with the helpdesk on... Great stuff!!!

I phoned them once, about a year ago... They asked what modem I had and I responded "USR 14400"... The guy at the other end laughed and then went and got some other people to come and laugh at me too - nice!!!

Indeed there was a problem on Sunday evening, consisting of exactly the symptoms you describe, ie. all the game servers disappeared off the Noticeboard for a short time while the engineers were called out and fixed it. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Incidentally, the Helpdesk staff could always do with a laugh, so anyone else with a 14.400 USR should give 'em a call. They'd love it...
