I'm talking about my previous post which has been here 3 days and has no reply.

So does HL have a master server?
The reason I ask is because the wp client can't find HL on my PC because it's on a different HDD and i'm sick of typing in IP's

The WP software finds HL on my PC had thats on G: or something.

I had a problem when the software found the er wrong version of the Quake 3 test.

I simply did a search in my registy for the Wireplay key that gives the path to Quake3.exe and changed to correct one. It should be the name for HL.

And er no I do not know if there is a master server.

Ok,

To the best of my knowledge there is only one master server for HL. That is the won server in the states.

The information above is from the woncomm.lst file, which you can find in your HL directory.

If you are having a problem with WP being unable to find HL on your HDD go into the WP setup and remove HL from the games list. Then restart the WP client, You should then add the game again from the game list. The fact that HL is on a different HD will not make a difference to WP, as the file WP executes is wirewgl.exe, which takes the location of HL from you registry.

Yeah well thats the problem ain't it, I installed half-life on two different drives and now it only thinks it's where the first copy was.

And WireView doesn't let you change where it thinks HL is.

Yes it does - click on half-life then click on the 'game' tab that appears.

Are you acctually a wireplay helpdesk guy? If so i'm in shock cos it means that you actually read some of the posts on the helpdesk board even if it was 11 days after the post was made.

Anyway my oridginal post was is there a WIREPLAY (i'm sure I used that word the first time) HL master server and if not is there going to be one?
