connecting to team fortress

Hello,could you tell me,
what I actualy need to play on team fortress.
I have the full version of Quake,
and I know I have to download files to play,but theres two files to download in the Games info,of Wireplay.
Do I have to download them both to playor just one.Or do I have to bother with these files and download a file from somewhere else.I wouldnt be too concerned
but my modem is only 36k,and theyed take while to complete.

firstly, make sure you have quakeworld version 2.30 (or 2.33) available from www.quakeworld.com (probably)

now, you need to obtain the FULL version of team fortress 2.9, get it from www.planetfortress.com (more than likely)

if you have a choice of download mirrors, choose the sunsite mirror - its the fastest in the uk.

now you need your maps, you can either log on to a tf server and it downloads the maps as you play them, or you can go to the team fortress download section on the wireplay page, and download the map packs. (the second way is quicker, but slightly more complicated).

alternatively, just go to the quake downloads section here on the wp web site, and grab quakeworld 2.30, and both the files under the team fortress section (either that or find out from somebody which maps you need and download em individually from www.planetfortress.com)
